There will be some practical information on the songwriting business as well --copyright, publishing, mechanical licensing, recording demos, writing on commission, etc.

Daily group workshops to encourage and critique students' partial or complete songs will be the backbone of this class. We'll learn that editing your song is not actually torture, it is liberating!
