Intermediate Hammered Dulcimer

This class is for students who already know several tunes and the basics on the hammered dulcimer, such as major and minor scales and chords/arpeggios, but who want to add sophistication to their playing. We'll work on embellishments for tunes, simple improvisation techniques, dynamics, and "flow." Repertoire from different countries will be introduced, tunes that will help students work on these various aspects of playing. Much of the teaching will be done by ear, but sheet music for all the tunes will be given at the end of class.
