This class is designed to offer participants a repertoire of different genres (Fiddle Tunes, Old English, Contemporary, Hymns, Celtic) while developing skills in technique and interpretation (embellishments, rhythms, dynamics, etc.). In addition, a common focus throughout will be the role of the Hammered Dulcimer as a back-up instrument (accompaniments/playing in an ensemble). Time will be allotted for individualized instruction/questions and group participation.

The class is open to both "readers" and "by ear" players; bring a recorder and lots of questions.
