Spring Dulcimer Week
Beginning Mountain Dulcimer

Students will learn to play and sing this week with their Appalachian Dulcimer. We will explore tuning, simple melodies, three basic chords, good posture to lessen fatigue, and learn to read from tablature. Students may learn to play by ear or standard notation if they desire. No prior musical knowledge is necessary. Rather a desire to learn and an optimistic outlook. I'll be advising students about their dulcimers to see if they're the correct size for them and if they need any repairs.
