No musical experience is necessary to learn to play this beautiful, ancient instrument. Beginning students will study basic layout, scales and melody patterns on the instrument, learning by ear, standard musical notation or a numbered tablature system. The focus will be on developing technique, learning several tunes and approaching tunes independently.
