Gerry Milnes

Gerry Milnes, Folk Arts Coordinator for Augusta Heritage Center, is a well-known filmmaker and a prize-winning fiddler and banjo player. He directs the West Virginia Folk Arts Apprenticeship Program and Augusta’s other folklore programs. Gerry is the author of Play of a Fiddle: Traditional Music, Dance, & Folklore in West Virginia and is a member of the old-time band Gandydancer.

His Appalachian Culture class will learn about West Virginia’s folk culture, history, and folklore through daily lectures, films, and demonstrations.
