Matthew Kupstas

Matthew Kupstas is an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer working on developing the Appalachian Studies program at Davis & Elkins College, in Elkins, WV. He toured with the renowned Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble and has performed as a guest dancer with Nickel Creek, Uncle Earl, and The Gibson Brothers. He has performed in the US, Canada, and Europe. Matt won two world clogging championships with the Bailey Mountain Cloggers and has taken home awards from several prestigious flatfooting competitions in North Carolina and West Virginia. He also plays banjo, mandolin, and guitar with the Fourth Street String Band.
