Flawn Williams


Flawn Williams has been teaching classes for years in various aspects of sound recording and reinforcement. He's been a featured trainer for National Public Radio's "Next Generation Radio" young journalists project, and he's also taught sessions for the American Folklore Society, the Association of Music Personnel in Public Radio, and for many years at Augusta.

His documentary and music productions for NPR and the National Geographic Society have won numerous awards. And he's done live concert sound mixing for the Chicago Jazz, Gospel, Latino and Blues Festivals, The Old Town School of Folk Music, the Takoma Park MD Folk Festival, and more than twenty years of Augusta concerts. He also does dance sound at the Glen Echo Spanish Ballroom in the Washington DC area, and the annual Chesapeake Spring Dance Weekend near Annapolis MD.

Flawn is also the long-time Coordinator of Augusta's Vocal Week.
